20 Things You Might Not Know About Me

So I was tagged days ago by my girl and fellow blogger, Buy the Cover.  I’ve been swamped with the joys of a new semester so I am just now getting to post.  For that, I apologize.  So 20 things you may not know about me are the following:

Question 1: How tall are you? I did not inherit my dad’s genes. Therefore, I am towering at 5’2.

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what? No hidden talents. My mom says not to hide my light under a bushel barrel.

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve? I think it has to be when people disagree with a blogger and are mean with their comments.  Disagree fine, but do so respectfully.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve? Business establishments that have no changing tables in their restrooms.  Imagine trying to change a loaded diaper while trying to keep your toddler and yourself public-containment free.  It is not a fun experience. Not having changing tables says to me, that my business isn’t wanted.

Question 5: What’s your favorite song? That’s really a complicated question for me. It depends on who is singing. If we’re talking Earth, Wind, and Fire, That’s the Way of the World. If I’m swooning over New Edition, then it’s N.E. Heartbreak. If Rachelle Ferrell is blowin’ ,  then Nothing Has Ever Felt Like this. If Mint Condition… See, this could go on forever…

Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours? First, I had to Google “Etsy Shop.” Once I found out what it was, I think I would probably like the home goods.

Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone? Alone? What does that mean? If I had alone time, I think I would catch up on reading. So many books, so little time. I also would do some writing. I have a lot of fiction in my brain, but there are also some research studies that I would like to get down on paper.

Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food? Peanut M&Ms with a Dr. Pepper. I am also addicted to potato chips.

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names? No pets. Don’t want pets unless they are Nemo and his friends swimming around in an awesome floor to ceiling aquarium…

Question 10: What are your number one favorite nonfiction and fiction books? Fiction: Let the Circle Be Unbroken by Mildred D. Taylor. Non Fiction: When Roots Die by Patricia Jones-Jackson.

Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product? I don’t really use products.

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened? I was leaving the restaurant with my very, very active three-year-old and he stepped in front of me, pulling me, and causing me to trip over him in the middle of the parking lot. Both of us ended up on the ground. Nothing I could do, but dust myself off and keep it moving.

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be? Cherry soda.

Question 14: What’s your favorite movie? When Harry Met Sally.

Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep? Band Geek/Nerd.

Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Somewhere tropical. I bet I could do some great writing there.

Question 17: PC or Mac? PC

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? My husband surprised me with a new backpack for school.

Question 19: Favorite celebrity? I don’t really have a favorite celebrity, but I am kind of wishing some authors would swing through Knoxville for a book signing like Eric Jerome Dickey, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Beverly Jackson… I have a list.

Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want be best friends with? Awesomely Luvvie gives me life!
